Mars and Saturn are approaching each other in Scorpio, and the exact conjunction will be on August 25, 2014. In addition Venus will square this conjunction from Leo. All this can be intensive and bring to the surface issues like survival, sexuality, power and deep emotional work.
Saturn in Scorpio symbolize the need to clear things that were buried because we were ashamed of afraid to face our dark, unpleasant side. Working with Saturn in Scorpio requires from us to be very honest with ourselves and to look straight in the eyes of our demons, facing our deepest pain, fears and past traumas. working on this with sincere intentions can help us release negative karma and move on to the next level.
Mars conjunction to Saturn emphasizes our battle with the dark side and helps us to confront and challenge the monsters within. We can see death very much present around us lately, and in a very cruel and brutal way too. All this violence around us reflects something rotten in the society we live in today. We definitely live in times that we can experience and see how easy it is to make a contract with the devil. We can have at the same time a deep understanding of what is darkness, the polarity of light. It is very essential at this time to have a spiritual guidelines, because it can be very challenging to stay in our center and not be poisoned by negativity. Even if you don’t intend to kill anyone, it’s still a challenge to see all the very graphic video’s and information spread in the media.
Saturn conjunct Mars can also be about righteous actions, thinking that we are doing the right thing, while we’re actually creating more negative karma in service of our personal will. Sometimes we think we fight for the right things, but we let our ego and ambition lead without seeing others on the way or being aware of emotions like anger, jealousy, fear etc. It’s time to have courage to see things as they are, without manipulating, learning to forgive ourselves for our mistakes and instead of acting from fear or a need for revenge, we can learn to trust and forgive. There’s no need anymore to serve fear or religious conditioning that are blocking us. We need to learn how to transform our anger and fear into the fuel that generates the engine of creativity and be warriors in service of light.
Venus in Leo square Mars and Saturn (exact on August 26) can bring some challenges to relationships, with ourselves and with others. It can bring to the surface issues of self worth and a strong need to show that we are strong and in control of things. If we want to feel loved but we don’t feel secure enough or love and forgive ourselves, it will only end with more manipulations, aggressiveness and power struggles. We might find ourselves with more repressed anger then before. If you put things on the table and confront your partner, then you will have to also take responsibility for your actions and emotions, and be extra careful not to abuse the other side (or let them abuse you). It might be wise to concentrate on your breath before you do something that you might feel guilty about later. This is the time to work on clearing karma in our relationships.
So work on balancing the lower chakras, turn your sexual energy into a creative power, make sure that you act with the right motivation, being aware of the dark side, face what you need to face, and at the same time try not to sink into depression, or use your actions to hurt others. We have to work on increasing the light and heal the wounds of our souls, personally and collectively.
This Mars Saturn conjunction reminds me of the story from the Bhagvad Gita, coming from ancient Indian literature. This is the story of Arjuna who was a warrior and needed to go on a battle against his family members. He couldn’t find any reason why to fight them, knowing that there are going to be many people who will be killed, but at the same time he understands that there’s no other choice. His cousins chose Lord Krishna’s army to be on their side (the physical realm), and Arjuna chose Lord Krishna himself to be on his side
As Arjuna was debating with himself, Krishna taught him about Moksha / liberation from the ego and the senses, who is the real enemy, who is responsible to all the actions that we take and what is Bhakti – devotion
Krishna taught Arjuna that when he acts from his ego or pride, his actions will not succeed, but since Arjuna was also a warrior, even if he choose not to fight, it will be the will of his ego and will serve his fears. The liberation, said Krishna, is to follow your Dharma and act from the will of God by not fighting your true nature. Your devotion will bring the liberation. So Krishna was the one who lead the horses and . Arjuna was following the will of God with devotion to the battle. Krishna was teaching Arjuna that he cannot escape from his destiny as a warrior and have to fight.
. Choose to be the warrior of light
