Saturn is moving to Scorpio on October 5 2012 and will be there until December 23rd 2014. then Saturn will return to Scorpio again for 3 months between June 16th until September 19th 2015. At this important period that we live in, my personal feeling is that we have an opportunity to do some major cleansing work, personally and collectively. it is important that we will use those planetary energies to do an important inner work and try to stay neutral as possible through it all. every transit will bring with him something positive or negative. it all depends on our attitude.if we will continue talking with concepts of good and bad we will not be able to do our evolutionary progress and we can stay captive of our fears.
Saturn is also the ruler of Capricorn and with Pluto being in Capricorn since 2008 we have a mutual reception between the planets. with Pluto in Capricorn we already saw the changes in governments, leaders, institutes etc that are starting a transformation process. Saturn transit through Scorpio can bring also similar issues to handle. both archetypes combined can be about cleansing and preparing for the next phase. we can say that at this point in time, the whole humanity is going through great changes in the social conditioning’s that are imprinted in it. old traditions will not be taken for granted anymore and questions will start to rise.
Scorpio is not an easy place for Saturn to be. the combination of a planet that will demand from us to be ethical and moral, align with something that is bigger then our own wishes, and through it we can learn to take responsibility on our actions and to test what is right or wrong in the way we act, together with Scorpio we have a transit that is checking our deepest motivation in everything that we do. if there’s such a thing as Karmic cleansing then Saturn in Scorpio is manifesting it in a very powerful and uncompromising way. why? because Saturn in Scorpio is testing our value system and moral standards without compromising. Scorpio by nature is a very total archetype that is searching the way to find Truth and will confront with everything on the way. when Saturn joins Scorpio we have to check our integrity, honesty and commitment. we are in search of everything that is not balanced or aligned in our life, and we need to be ready to do the work and dig deeper, including dealing with repressed traumas from the past. so we will have to be emotionally resilient and courageous.
Saturn in Scorpio will also catch us every time we will manipulate, cheat, etc. it’s pay time and we will probably see many powerful and influential people in the world falling. those who have the control over other peoples money (Scorpio) will have to do some soul searching. a reversed situation can also happen when the political and social corruption will increase and the law will also cooperate with the corrupted but this situation will not last for a long time and it will be an illusion that Saturn will let it go by. so if your next career was supposed to be the head of a mafia – I would highly recommend to avoid it….
Scorpio is also about sexuality and the resources of the other. the process with Saturn is checking what are our motivations in creating intimacy with another person. relationships can bring to the surface our deepest fears caused by deep pain inside of us. In intimate relationships we giving another person, a stranger, to look into our soul and the actual sexual union is bringing also a deeper union in soul level. this can bring many things that we do not feel comfortable with to the surface but we have a lesson here to deal with these things in a direct and honest way, even if you feel that pain can be caused to others or to yourself. Saturn in Scorpio tell’s us that we cannot run away from the liberating truth and the saturnian release can be reached only through inner self work. will you find yourself bleeding? might be…but also our blood have to circulate and be clean.
The soul is eternal and remember everything that why traumas from past life can come up personally and collectively (see also Uranus Pluto post), and we can fond ourselves facing again what we hoped to forget. you can go through a past life therapy or do it in a more unconscious way, the process in both will be intensive and powerful.
During the transit of Saturn in Scorpio he will be part of a Yod configuration with Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Gemini as the apex. this configuration, also called the finger of God, will be exact on December 21, 2012, the day the Mayan calendar is finished, and we are supposed to move to a new cycle. beyond our self searching there is a karmic configuration here, demanding us to work in an accurate and honest way. no shortcuts! It can be about our believe system, our tolerance to other cultures and believes and can bring more religious fanatics to act. Media, newspapers , television channels etc can experience a collapse.
Not surprisingly, when Bram Stoker published his novel “Dracula” in 1897 Saturn was in Scorpio. The story of the vampire who suck the blood of others to exist, and with doing this passing them to the world of shadows, can be very symbolic for this transit. The survival needs of evil or the darker side in our life is reflected through the story of Dracula, that he himself died but passed his “gift” to others before. there is an understanding here that the dark side will be always present in our life. in every good there is bad says the Tao. the question we need to ask is do we want to water the seeds of negativity and evil or can we fight with courage to go with the truth, in any cost? are we willing to pay this price that takes us from out comfort and secure space and redeem our soul?
In this time it is important to balance the first chakra, Muldhara, that is about elimination, security, survival needs and grounding. when the first chakra is not balanced we can feel detached because we cannot trust anything, we feel fear, rejection and not belong anywhere. by balancing the root chakra we work on eliminating toxins from our body and opening the flow of the Kundalini energy.
