Jupiter, the planet that encourage us to explore life’s potential and grow, moved to Cancer on June 26 for a year. This transit will activate a few aspects patterns during this year, including the grand water trine with Neptune and Saturn in July and later in 2014 a grand square with Uranus, Pluto and Mars.
The roots of our inner wisdom
Jupiter in Gemini took us to a journey where we learned to distinguish between truth and lies, to find what is accurate and true in all the virtual abundance of knowledge and he taught us about the importance of using the right and accurate words. The transit to Cancer is moving us from the external search to an inner search, we will explore our own belief system and our authentic connection to life.
Mercury begins his retrograde in Cancer at the same time, and we have an interesting focus on these 2 planets that both are connected with Knowledge and information, sensation and experience and both relate to the fifth chakra, Visudha, that teach us how to communicate and vibrate the Universe with our words. So they both direct us to an interesting inner journey, where we’ll explore our authenticity and our personal path. Mercury retrograde teach us how to listen to our inner voice and Jupiter in Cancer teach us to reconnect with our inner teacher. Our personal experience will lead the way and we can learn in the process to find our intuition and work with it in a more focused way. So Jupiter in Cancer takes us to experience life in a personal way and rediscover our own identity in this existence. We will learn how to reconnect in a very authentic way to our inner wisdom and inner knowledge. With Jupiter in cancer we don’t need an external teacher because we recognize that we have all knowledge in ourselves and we have all the wisdom that we need.
The problem begins when we think that we know it all and our rules and way of living are the only way. We are not growing, we are not evolving we just turn to be fanatic and attached to our believes. so Jupiter in cancer can be balanced by remembering that sometimes we can see life in a very subjective way, and we need something outside of ourselves to remind us that our truth needs to align with a greater truth. at the end of the day we need to handle the consequences, and test if our believes are grounded and connected to reality.
Jupiter’s aspect to Saturn in Scorpio, as part of the Grand water trine that we have now in the sky, also emphasizes this need and helping us with our own inner connection to higher realms.
Jupiter’s journey in Cancer will take us to search our ancestral knowledge through and beyond time. If we want to understand the basis of our believe system we will have to look at the roots we grew from, what led us to be who we are and to carry our DNA. This need can bring up new ancient knowledge to the surface and encourage some people to go back to religious traditions for example.
Jupiter the Matriarch
Jupiter in Cancer carry’s with him a strong feminine quality. In trine with Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio, Jupiter’s move to Cancer emphasize the water element. Also in the ingress chart we can see Black Moon Lilith conjunct Jupiter. Interestingly, also when Jupiter will leave Cancer and move to Leo he will conjunct BML. We can learn from it about the nature of this transit, ans see the archetype of the great mother and wounded femininity symbolized here.
Lilith have mostly a bad reputation, that is telling us the story of the oppression of the feminine power in the patriarchal era, by demonizing her. Actually Lilith was considered to be in ancient times as the Shakti – the force of life and the giver of life. Trough history we can see the symbols of sacred feminine interpreted as negative and destructive by those who wanted to deprive the feminine power to exist. The conjunction of Jupiter in Cancer to BML can symbolize the beginning of going back to the feminine matriarchal source, to the great mother that empower and create.
This process is already happening with Pluto in Capricorn transit in the background, and the upcoming opposition of Pluto and Jupiter is very significant in that matter. We can expect changes in the way women are being treated around the world, cultures and tribes that put the feminine back to be more dominant etc. We can tune ourselves to the universal ancestral feminine energy also through meditation and shamanic rituals.
Nature and Fauna are also related to shamanic work and we can use the spirit of animals that carry the feminine wisdom to tune in to this transit. We don’t have to actually see the animal but we can dream or meditate about her. Among these animals are: Stork – symbolizing birth, home and family, new beginnings, fertility. she have feminine and motherhood qualities. In our culture she brings the babies. the stork teaches us about family values and the importance of the family, as well as connect us back to our roots.
Hedgehog is also a cute little animal that is correlated to fertility and ancestral feminine wisdom.
July 16-18 we have exact water grand trine. In August Jupiter will be in opposition to Pluto and then square Uranus and trine Chiron in Pisces.
Jupiter will move to retrograde on November 6 in 20 degrees cancer, until March 7 2014. During the Rx period Jupiter will again form trine aspect to Saturn in Scorpio in December.
In January 2014 will be in opposition to Pluto and Venus that will finish her Rx cycle in Capricorn and then form a grand square with Mars, Pluto and Uranus in April 2014.
